How to judge a fake URL
How to judge a fake URL
A numbers of people use internet daily. They do most of work on net like surf.search; send emails, received emails, go to the links and much more. In the online world. There are many people who hack the email address and they have claimed to particular web sites. They send lot of fake emails for the said above proposes. Here I would like to indicate them.i would also try lead to you a fake or a pishing site.
For the online security don’t click on the pup-up ads or links in emails that looks you suspect or suspicious. That would be better for you to search a site form your address bar directly rather then use ads or links in emails. may be if you don’t flow above rule it can be harmful for you if you are going to financial site.
A very fairly sure sing that appears in the middle of any fake URL site contain “@” for example some one send you a link site like.www.yahoo@123 so you are not going on the right way. Legitimate sites and companies use a domain name as part of their name rather than the "@" sign.
You can use to check the fake URL or email by your mouse simply holding your mouse above the link. After that you will find out the link in your browser or stuts bar. The bar that is usually at the bottom of your screen) and you can see what the name of the site is before you actually click on it.
Another way to judge the fake site is spelling basic mistakes which they used often in the web address itself. Some urls may be look alike in the name of well known company but there are different in letters. An example might be "mircosoft.com" instead of "microsoft.com."
Mostly paypal had been target by the scammers. Even if a URL contains the word "paypal," it may not be the authentic Paypal site. Some common URLs that will NOT lead you to the real Paypal site are: www.paypalsecure.com and www.paypal@accounts.com.
Tips and warnings
When in doubt, use a search engine. Many large companies and organizations simply have their name as their URL, but not all. Scammers are aware of this. For example, if you are looking for GATT (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) and you go to gatt.org, you will end up on a hoax site.
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It is the technical name for the entire web address, such as http://www.msn.com/.
